AGRO-PREMIERY DIRECTION AGRICULTURE 5.0 Gold Medals 2025: Laureates of innovation and outstanding achievement in agriculture

The climate and environmental challenges facing modern agriculture are clearly reflected in the work of crop breeders and machinery designers.

Agricultural entrepreneurs and farmers now have access to crop varieties that offer ever-greater tolerance to changing climate conditions, excellent winter hardiness, and outstanding disease resistance. All of this is aimed at securing a stable yield with the highest possible quality parameters.

As for agricultural machinery – it is no longer just about power or working width. Thanks to advanced electronic systems and satellite connectivity, full work telematics, field mapping, traction control, and efficient use of production resources are now possible – and above all, real-time monitoring of efficiency and costs.

These topics are at the heart of Agro-Premierya groundbreaking event unlike anything seen before in Poland. It’s a hub of knowledge, with countless discussion panels and networking opportunities, set against the backdrop of cutting-edge agriculture 4.0 – and even 5.0 – technology.

The products and solutions showcased during the event meet the most cutting-edge industry requirements and, as such, deserve recognition and distinction. Twelve products on display in Poznań have also received the approval of the MTP Group Gold Medal competition jury. The medals – including awards for winning the industry plebiscites Gold Medal – Consumer Choice, as well as special distinctions such as the Grand Prix and Eco Prize – will be presented to the winners during the opening ceremony of Agro-Premiery.

Professor Grzegorz Skrzypczak, Chair of the competition jury, emphasises:
“In the ‘plant’ category, awards were given to varieties of key agricultural and food crops – namely, winter wheat, winter triticale, winter rye, oats and maize. These varieties, through their agronomic, economic and nutritional traits, contribute significantly to driving biological progress in our agriculture through breeding advancements.

One of the awarded products is the winter wheat variety Fuzja, developed by Poznańska Hodowla Roślin Sp. z o.o.

As Natalia Maciejowska, Marketing Manager, states:
“Fuzja is a quality variety with excellent purchasing parameters such as protein content, falling number, and gluten levels. This is the result of advanced research and the dedication of our team, who continuously work on solutions tailored to the needs of modern agriculture.”

She adds that participating in the event is an excellent opportunity for the company to present the results of years of research and breeding work to a wide audience of agricultural professionals. It also provides space for exchanging experiences, establishing new business relationships, and drawing inspiration from other participants’ ideas.

Professor Skrzypczak also highlights another Gold Medal winner:
The maize variety SM Zadra, developed by Małopolska Hodowla Roślin Sp. z o.o., received an exceptionally high score for its outstanding performance traits compared to other varieties. In COBORU trials from 2022–2023, SM Zadra achieved 107% fresh mass and 105.2% dry matter compared to the standard! It’s a variety whose vigour and yield potential are remarkable and sure to impress, according to the breeders.”

The jury chair also points to innovative solutions found in the awarded products in the machinery and equipment category. These include products related to fertiliser management – for example, Żywa kreda H+ from FHP MKG PROMYK Honorata Soboń, which, in addition to nutrients, delivers organic carbon and humic acids to the soil. Roman Sałdan, Sales Director at PROMYK, adds:
This is a natural mineral that, besides high-quality lacustrine chalk deposits, contains humic acids and organic carbon. This composition ensures effective deacidification, provides nutrient calcium for plants, and improves soil structure by enhancing organic matter content.”

Aside from the pride of receiving the award, he also underscores the significance of the event itself:
This is a highly prestigious trade fair that facilitates the transfer of solutions between producers, distributors, and farmers. The fair attracts clients from Poland and across Europe and the world. It’s an excellent opportunity to present our extensive product portfolio, establish business contacts, and enhance the prestige of our company.”

Among the award-winning products is also Baler Automation – the automation system for the VB 7100 series balers from KUHN-MASZYNY ROLNICZE Sp. z o.o.
As Patrycja Miedzińska from the company explains:
By launching the Baler Automation system, KUHN is taking another step towards autonomous machine operation. This automated bale-wrapping system improves machine efficiency, bale quality, and operator comfort. The VB 7100 is the world’s first round baler to use Section Control to start and stop the pickup reel within the row.

Also recognised is the fully autonomous agricultural robot Farming GT, developed by Farming Revolution GmbH and submitted by FARMSYSTEMS Sp. z o.o. Farming GT, thanks to high-resolution cameras and artificial intelligence, identifies both weeds and crops, ensuring 100% weeding both in and between rows. It removes weeds with impressive precision – up to 5 mm – even in areas where weeds overlap with cultivated plants. The robot operates in all terrain conditions, regardless of field slope or soil type.

Bartłomiej Kądzielawa from FARMSYSTEMS Sp. z o.o. not only highlights the prestige of receiving the MTP Gold Medal for Farming GT, but also the broader benefits of participating in the event:
The MTP Group Gold Medal is a tremendous honour for us and a confirmation of the high quality of our products. It is a recognition of our hard work and commitment to developing modern agriculture. Participating in the trade fair is an excellent opportunity to present our portfolio and establish valuable business connections. As a company operating in the precision farming sector, we proudly showcase our innovative range designed to support modern agricultural technologies.

All the products and solutions awarded to the agricultural industry by the jury could be seen at the spectacular agro-industry event on 24–25 January 2025 in Poznań.

The next edition will take place in 2027!
